Cheryl Byrd (Beulah) – a native of Paducah, KY, is currently an early child educator and is pursuing her Masters in Early Childhood Studies. Cheryl has performed in several stage plays, two under the directorship of Alvin Moore Jr. and one titled Goode Temptations (Moore, M. 2009) under the directorship of Michael Bond. Other endeavors have included being cast in an award winning short educational film for Tarrant County in For Worth, TX in 2000 and Cheryl recently published her first children’s book titled Dragon Fruit, (2009). Cheryl attributes her natural talent for acting to the experiences she had as a child which included growing up in a home with a playroom designed by her parents that encouraged dramatic play, being told stories by her grandmother at bed time, and by facilitating young children’s play in the work she does as a professional early childhood educator.
