Marquita Marie Thomas (Angela), Soul R&B recording artist, was born in Chicago, IL where she began singing at the age of 4, appearing on local television shows, then later going on to win 1st place twice on the stage of the Famous Apollo Theater in New York. Marquita acted as an extra in the Grammy winning film, Malcolm X in 1992. With her growing passion for acting, Marquita landed the lead role in the theater production, A Christmas Carol, in 1995. Marquita inked her first recording contract with an indie recording label sign to Universal Records in 2001, and ever since then she has been turning heads and soothing ears with her sultry voice all over the country. Marquita delivers a superb performance as Angela.
